I have a 88 YJ that has a 94 4.0 and AW4 in it. The transmission runs great and shifts fine a the torque converter locks up when I flip a switch. I want to get it to work with out the switch.

I have currently a 2 wire setup on the stock 88 switch. Can i use this one or do i need to convert it to 4 wire? The wht/pnk brake sense wire from the PCM has 12 volts. Does the TCM need 12 volts or 0 voltage for the PCM to have the Torque convertor lock up. I have read about wiring up the relay to flip the voltage for lock up also. Not sure if I would have to do this. In all I just need to now what is the voltage going into the TCM for the Brake sense wire.

Thanks

I'm not going to be able to offer much help here but you might try a Cherokee forum. Just tell them you have a YJ with their transmission in it. Otherwise, the YJs with AW4 swaps are pretty few and far between, so you might be waiting a while for an answer here. Wish I could help but I know nothing about the wiring of that transmission.
