All Gears?

Simple fluid change could help and will not hurt..Redline MT-90 as stated above is the way to go. 3 1/3 quarts....or untill full.

I recently thought I had 'another' tranny go bad.......was hard to shift , made horrible noise when engaging clutch in 1st gear.....It ended up being just a busted tranny mount....now it shifts like butta! Just sumthin you might want to check before condemning the tranny.

What weight oil did you put in there? If it's gotten worse than I would say your tranny isn't happy with what you put in. Supposedly the GL5 oils will eat the synchro's so that might be a contributing factor if that's what you used. After I purchased my 95 with an ax5 I put in some redline MT90 and it is noticably smoother.

MT90 is hard to find in local shops, your best bet is to order online. I got my from Jegs.com and it was on my door step in 2 days.

Yep, 100% synthetic....Not sure what the factory puts in them. For all I know the whole GL5 eating synchro's could be an urban legend but I wasn't willing to take a chance so I went with the MT90. Good luck, Happy Fathers Day, if it applies!!
