Well it's time to install the new u joints on the front axle so I might as well change the seals. Left front is leaking a bit already.

For the rear D44 the right is leaking so I am going to do that axle also.

My question is are there grades of seals?
Brands to get and brands to avoid?

Go to the dealer or is NAPA, Pepboys good?

Thanks

I'm also going to replace all 5 driveline u joints. I bought the Spicer 5-760X for the front axle and the 5-1310X for the drive shafts. I also bought a press at Harbor freight so my total experience would not last longer than a day doing all this.

For the front axle? The front axle only uses an inner seal which is located inside the pumpkin and requres the differential be removed to get to it. SKF is a good brand, especially if you can find their Chicago Rawhide line which was purchased by SKF several years ago.
