I don't think you'd have an issue inside the axle. That looks like it's just a u joint, unless you have some worn gears as well. It's better to replace the $10 part first to find out...

Yeah, pretty typical worn u-joint. There isn't any supporting bearing there so that's why the shaft is flopping like that.

Replace both sides.

Thanks! I was going to o start with the U joints and go from there. I just got this a couple of months ago and just working through it little by little
