I recently bought 4 Procomp XTerrains for my JKU, they are 285/75R16s. I bought them at 4WheelParts when they had a buy 3 get 1 sale going on. My first choice was Duratracs but I really liked the agressive look and couldn't pass up saving about 250 bucks.

I'm sort of a tire newb, I've only gotten new tires a few times in my life and this is the first issue I've had. When driving down the highway about anywhere between 50-65 I get a mild vibration, it seems to pulse. At first I thought it was the road, but then found out I felt it no matter what highway I was on. Also if I ever get up past 65 sometimes the whole thing will shake so violently I'm forced to slow down.

They balanced the tires when they mounted and put them on for me, I took them back in for a rebalance and I'm still seeing the same issues. If you all believe this is a balance issue... Do you think I should just pay another shop and be done with this? I'm not a huge fan of the 4WP store in my area as it is and it's clear on the other side of town.

I bought my DuraTracs from 4WP and had balancing issues with them.

I told them I wanted adhesive weights that attach to the inside of the wheel. So you can't see them and they don't get knocked off on the trail. They said sure, that's what they would use.

They were being proactive and mounted and balanced the tires when they came in, so they would be ready for me when I brought the Jeep. They used the outside clip-on weights! I told them I requested the adhesive. They said, oh those don't work well and can't balance the tire side-to-side as clip-on weights do. I had them replace with the adhesive.

The tires were not balanced well. Some of the adhesive gave way and the weights went flying off. I had to submit and have them put on clip-on weights.

They kept my old lug nuts, even when I told them I wanted to keep them. They kept my old (but good) front track bar once as well. I still want that back!

Screw those guys! I will not let them touch my Jeep again.

However, I do like their extended warranty. It's more tailored to offroaders than a normal tire shop.
