Hey,
Has anyone encountered this? The story is that a couple days ago my key cylinder finally stopped working (apparently this is a common Jeep thing) so I couldn't turn the key to start the Jeep.
Had to pay a fortune to get someone out to replace it. Ever since then the bell starts beeping as soon as I open the door... :9lame: This is driving me nuts! If noone has any ideas I'm taking the buzzer off entirely, but wanted to ask first.
I don't think I've missed anything obvious: lights out, no key in ignition. Is it the positioning of the new key cylinder maybe??
Thanks!

It sounds like who ever replaced the key cylinder didn't properly hook it up so that it would recognize when there was no key in the ignition. It beeps because it thinks you left your key in the ignition.

You could pull the fuse for the door lights which will stop the charm for the time being.
