Hi all

Just got my 15 white Sahara JKU. I was looking for it almost a year and finally found a good deal. Almost fully loaded, Nav 730n / 3.21 / leather seat / hard and soft top etc. So far love it and want to build it little by little. I will DIY most of installation. Maybe takes one or two years :(

Since I'm living in NY. Not many off road trail near by. I am 90% DD. And sorry for the broken English :p

Plan:
Grab bar
Rear seat recline
Hard top headliner
Front and rear camera
Tail light guard
Led headlight
Led fog light
Poison spyder front and rear bumper
Teraflex tire carrier
Simttybilt wench
4.58 gear
Truetrac ( front or rear don't know yet)
Aev 2.5 lift
Exhaust spacer
Geometry correction brackets
Cut fender
.......
And so on

Rear seat recliner from war big

Installation is straight forward. Need a lot muscles if you don't have impact gun like me :(. Search YouTube you will find a good video for it.

Remember torque every bolt as the instruction said.

Backup cam from Amazon $28 and design go with lockpick $220. I found out my local dealer charge me $120 to active the back up cam and other cable etc. total around $150. Also I need to leave my car there for half day. Why not just go with lockpick with more functions. I am going to add the rear cam this time and do the front cam next week.

This is the main installation video I used.

There you so many way and location to put the cam, bumper / license plate / even tow hook . I think the best location is behind the spare tire.

Backup cam from AEV for $680 ! No point to buy it. I get the AEV 3rd brake light $60 as the bracket .

This is the camera

Found out the bracket has tight fit for the stock wheel opening .:( forgot to take a pics.

I cam going to mod the bracket and let it fit all kind of wheel.

Screws / lock washers / 1" screw spacer / 2" aluminum flat bar from Home Depot

The idea is extent the mount for the cam. So let start.

Cut the flat bar for 4" and open some holds

Don't need to open the center hold. Just screw hold.

Test the fitment

Paint it in Matt back to match the color

Issue from the 3rd light cap from AEV. The opening hold for the cable is too small. I cut it open more.

Drew a hold on the camera bracket to use the same bolts from the light.

Put them together

Wire up the lockpick . Remember to to get two 25 ft stranded hookup wire 18-22 gauge. Enough for wire to front and rear cam.

Test the cam

Finish the wiring and cut the stock brake light.

You can always change the screw spacer to match the open space for you wheel.

I believe we have a short time frame to make edits then your stuck with what you've written. Then again it could be your newbe status or it may be that your not a supporting member yet. Honestly... not really sure.... I'm am sure that I wouldn't change a thing. Great thread.

Keep inspiring,
Jase
