I got a nicely bent swaybar axle bracket. Should I bend it back with heat and a crescent wrench? Maybe just cut off the tab and weld on something better? Anyone make thicker mounts? It's bent about 25 degrees. Thing is I have no idea how it got bent either.

I had the same the thing happen to my Dana 30 on both sides. No idea how it happened. Had the tabs heated, bent back and a small gusset welded to the bottom on the inside to strengthen but still allow the swaybar arm to articulate. So far, so good. :thumb:

:thumb:Thanks, I went ahead and heated it up, then bent it back with a 28" crescent wrench. I will keep an eye on it, if it bends again I will make some thick brackets to weld on.
