If you have a soft top you may want to consider a
Bestop headliner part #51818-09. Regularly $100 but on sale for $24.99 at Morris 4x4.
It acts like a headliner and helps to insulate from heat and noice but for me best of all it reduces the flapping noice of the soft top so so much. I can drive on the interstate and have a conversation, talk on the phone and such. It's velcro's and snaps in place so easly can be removed.

I have no connection to the company or the vendor just bought one and was amazed by the difference. Worth a look!

let me know what you think......we think it's great!

I'm glad you like yours. We bought one at the pre-sale price and after installing it and living with the saggy poorly executed product, I don't know that I would even buy it again at the sale price.

It isn't much of an insulator if any and the flapping with a sailcloth on AC outside air, isn't much of an issue.

Would it make a difference with a hard top?

$8.99 shipping for me to Dallas. I hope this thing helps with the heat like you said. It's hot here. How did the installation go? I read through it and it seemed reasonable.

I paid $95 for one when I bought a new sailcloth top last winter. I too was disappointed with the sagging and don't not think I would have purchased it if I knew it would be that way.

However, with that said I am not entirely unhappy with it. It does provide a sense of additional insulation and quiet. I took it off this past spring because it is quite bulky when lowering the top.

I came across it today while cleaning my garage and put it back on. I took some time with the installation to try and eliminate as much of the sagging as possible. We'll see how it performs and how I like it for the summer with the top in safari mode.

Not sure what issues you had but mine fits great, how can it sag it velcro's across the front on top of the windshield, it velcros to the center rib and has straps and snaps in the sides and back. I do have the speaker bar but zero sag and the light grey matches the interior. I did get my daughter to hep when we put the velcro across the top of the windshield but all in all it was a painless install and looks great.

OK I have had mine for about a week now and I have to say I love it so far. Much quieter inside at highway speed. Time will tell how it holds up but if it sags I am pretty sure it will not be hard to tighten it up again.

Anyone know if it fits on a different manufacturer's top? I've got a Smittybilt and could use some noise dampening.

it velcros to the frame on top of the windshield and the middle brace and the sides and back snap to the top frame so I wouldn't think brand would matter but you may want to ask the Vendor

I have not seen a Smittybilt top, but as long as they attach anything like the factory top I would think it would work fine. The only really important part is where it attaches to the top of the front header and the bow across the back as far as I can see.

I bought one for my Unlimited and it helped greatly. Still have to raise my voice to talk with my wife on the interstate. Helps with heating and cooling. I did have to re-install on the windshield. Took extra time and new Velcro, and haven't had an issue since.

Installed tonight with no issues. Fits Smittybilt top just fine. In my opinion, fore & aft fit is better than side to side, much more taut. The Velcro fit on the top bow above the sport/ sound bar is a little off, but no sagging at installation. Bought black denim version, same material as soft top exterior but without any sort of sheen from coating. Road test in the morning.

By the way, this was my first dealing with Morris 4x4, and it was pleasant and quick, and at least over the phone they seem like genuinely good people.

I bought one of these during the sale and finally got around to installing a few weeks ago. It has made the ride substantially quieter. I like the way it fits, no noticeable sag. Now to find some quieter tires. I don't know whether it makes a difference in the interior temperature but I live in San Diego so it's not a big issue.
