A body lift tall enough to run 33" tires without a suspension lift would be a REALLY bad idea.If your trying to save money just get a body lift.
But he already has a 2.5" suspension lift. With that he should be able to just add a 1" BL, get the 3.5" total lift he's looking for and safely run the 33s... correct?Jerry Bransford said:A body lift tall enough to run 33" tires without a suspension lift would be a REALLY bad idea.

If you are removing the existing lift, I would do 2" BDS Springs with a 1.25" BL and 33" Duratracs.i have a 2.5" RC lift and 31" goodyear duratracs and i want a 3.25" lift and 33"'s. i would like to know who has the best lift but not too expensive and a good set of 33's. thanks
You are correct but I read his post to mean he wants a new suspension lift. But he already has a 2.5" suspension lift. With that he should be able to just add a 1" BL, get the 3.5" total lift he's looking for and safely run the 33s... correct?
In your case, take care of the immediate needs first (tires & top), then worry about taking the BL down to 1"-1.25" and get some good 2"-3" springs".the sahara I am ending up with has a 3.5" body lift and 33" x 12.5" -15's on it since I got it.. it does not rub with what I put it through so far.
I added lockers, 456 ring and pinion, and am concerned what problems I am inviting with the body lift.. I had been under the impression that the body lift was a cheap way of clearing the tires; though unattractive to the practiced eye and likely causing some top heavy issues (assumed so).. it will be the daily driver... I have to replace a top and wanted a hard top $$$$$$$ ouch.. in fact the half cab was my dream from the start..
I hope to find out what problems accompany the 3.5" body lift.. and whether I ought to address that problem first... I will need tires pretty soon, I need a top, and I need to correct the body lift.. probably expensive to take off and to replace... am I right?)
