I just got upgraded to the dual top package for my JKU and was wondering what my options are for storing the soft top in/on the vehicle. Can you guys recommend your favorite products for this?

Thanks.

The soft top fits under any bed larger than a twin bed and maybe weighs 20lbs so even in an apartment it's easy to store. Storing a hard top is a different story

I was wondering if there was any way to keep the soft top with you in the vehicle when you are driving with the soft top. Wasn't sure how these things collapsed or what you guys do when you ride with the top down and it starts raining or something.

Are you talking about transporting a soft top under the hardtop?

It's a convertible. You remove the three windows (x2 rear side and the back) and fold the top down. There are storage options that you can purchase or make your own. I purchased 4 fleece blankets at Walmart for under $4 each and layer blanket/window/ blanket/ etc, then roll them up and store them in a duffel bag that I carry in the back. Can always throw the top up and zip windows back in minutes if needed.

Yep x 2

Reading the manual is a must. it is very helpful getting the top on ans down correctly.

Has anyone used the Rugged ridge soft top boot pictured above with the premium top? Many of the comments are about how tight the fit is, and wondering if it would be usable with the premium soft top that has thicker fabric.

If you're asking what happens to the soft top when it's down; it just folds down in the back(photo). There are covers, that you can buy, for it in that position(if that is what your asking(2nd photo)
Rugged-Ridge Soft top Storage Boot is shown but there are others. Amazon.com: Rugged Ridge 12104.51 Black Diamond Soft Top Storage Boot for JK 4-Door Jeep Wrangler 2007-2010: Automotive
Yes, this is exactly what I was talking about. I guess I should have waited until I understood how the soft top folded down. thanks

The fabric for the premium top is actually more pliable than the standard top. I use the Smittybilt version of the soft top boot.

fdisker: How did you get your soft top folded down so compactly? I've read the manual and didn't help me much. When folded down, my top is anything but compact and looks real messy. I'm not even close to being able to put a boot over it but that's my next step. 1st I'd like to fold it back properly. Thanks.

I don't think the springs assited tops on the +2013's get that low...at least not the premium tops.

Mine starts out about 3 inches below the 3rd brakelight. It usually ends up about even with the brakelight after a few miles anyway. Another reason why I hardly ever put the entire top down.
