Best mounting place for lights

I want to ad some lights to my Jeep but where is the best place to mount them that will help light up a trail but also a dark road. Bumper, windshield, light bar above windshield?

There are so many options. It's good to have multiple levels of lights. I like lights on the bumper and windshield. There's also light bars that mount on the hood. And yes the roof bar.

I say bumper, windshield and good!
Ill agree and say the windshield. I like the look of winshield mounted lights, and its a great spot for long range lights.
So fogs on the bumper plus the stock fogs? And long range on the windshield?
If you haven't already, first upgrade the headlights then reassess your need for aux lights. The stock headlights run on AA batteries.

So sick
Jaker, is there a thread or link that has more photos of your silver JKU from more angles? About to get my billet and would like more ideas.

Also, are those duallys in your fog bumper holes?

What mounts are available for putting lights up on the roof line? Seems like the common trend is to put them on the hood/windshield sill. Is there a reason?

Yes those are dually's in the bumper

There is a few company's that make them for the top of the windshields , I think most of the hood mounts are for clearance issues or just cheaper

The reason mine is mounted on the cowl is because I got a great deal on the light and the size (32") doesn't really fit on the top or the bumper , I had to make my own mounts for the light

Off topic, But Jaker, that front bumper is pretty badass

Looks sweet! How do those d2 fogs and projector headlights shine? They have a lot better than stock? Hids in them?

Headlights are some crappy knock off projectors ( they suck ) if it wasn't for my driving lights I would have trashed them by now

Everything is HID and LED in front

Jaker what front bumper is that? Sorry off the subject too.
I vote for the windshield lights. Have always been a big fan of them

It's a one off rampage bumper , I added on a few bars
I actually like the lightbar that MOPAR makes.
Here is a stock pick. My jeep doesn't look this good yet.

I prefer the lights on the bumper or grill, as I don't like lighting up the hood...
