There is a black box under the battery tray with a single wire attached to it that runs across the firewall to the intake manifold.
What does it do?
Been having an issue where after driving, shut off for 5-10 minutes won't start no electronics, except the gauges bounce a few times. Clock loses setting trip odometer resets. Been able to start after several tries.
2002 4.0l
Thanks, Peter

The black box is likely the vacuum reservoir.

Search on the dash going blank. There are pins in the back that may need tweaking to ensure contact, but that usually doesn't prevent starting - just displaying.

X2 Gottagofast; but could also be CSP (crank shaft position) sensor. Check the wires, circuit, connections and sensor. Also while your at it, check all the ground connections, and straps under the hood.
