Can I add a set of boomerang shakles and get a slight 1 1/2 lift without doing any other mods?
I was hoping to get just a slight lift with a greasable fitting for the obvious reasons.

Yes, they are about that much longer than your stock shackles and abit stronger.

I couldnt figure out in my head why not . Seems like a good safe upgrade lift without messing with the center of gravity to much .

I wonder at what heigth I should worry about doing a transfer case drop and would it benefit from it if I did it anyways?

I'm pretty sure it's about 3 inches that you need to look into a t-case drop. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

Just depends on the kit. My Rubicon Express 2.5" lift kit actually yields 3.25" of lift when it was all said and done. It came with a transfer case drop in the kit. You just have to experiment, but I would say 3" would require a t-case drop just to be safe, if you don't go sye.
