I always put mine on. If you are going to off-road your jeep (or even live in a place where there are semi-harsh winters) your shocks are most likely going to rust pretty quick anyway. Most people claim that the boots hold water on the shock, and to an extent I am sure they do. I dont mind the little extra dirt protection for a little possible moisture issue. I bet the response is going to be pretty 50/50 no matter how many people respond. Just my .02

You should avoid them. In theory they should keep the muck out, but in actual application they seem to hold it more in. We're a vendor so we'd make more money if you bought them, but I generally would recommend against it.
