Brake light electrical question

581 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Bclevy
I am planning on hooking up 7-3/4 LEDs for my brake light on my 2013 JKU. I was told that the electrical module might go out if I did this. Has anybody heard that?

Not sure what the 7 3/4 LED's are but any LED bulb that you install will need to have a resistor installed in line or they may be built in to some, if it doesn't have the resistor then it will draw a lot less power than the module is expecting and trigger a light out, like your signal lights that flash fast if you have a bulb out.

I am using 7 of them that are 3/4 inches. Not sure if they have built in resistors or not.
