Would these rub on stock rims and no lift ? I don't off-road much yet, not the tire I really want but I found a great deal. I was hoping maybe I could get these and make it through the winter then do some mods on my sport in the spring

I believe they will. I put 285-70/17 mt a tz's on wheels with 4.75 backspacing and they rubbed the front air dam at full wheel lock. Also have a 1' leveling puck up front

You can trim or remove the air dam (it's plastic) at full lock you will probably get a little rub on your sway bar and shock.
Not a big deal.
A 1.25"-1.50" spacer set will solve that if you are so inclined.
