So last night I replaced the valve cover gasket on my 07 jk. When I took it off I noticed a hole on the internal but didn't pay to much attention to it till I went to change the gasket and a piece of plastic fell out. It's about the diameter of a nickel and is right underneath where the breather hose is attached. I needed the vehicle so I put back together with new gasket. Here is a pic. Anyone ever seen this?

I believe it is the oil baffle for the breather hose. It helps reduce the amount of oil that goes up the breather hose. I would fix it or you will be sucking more oil into the intake than is necessary.

Well went ahead and replaced it. Good news is my buddy is a shop foreman at Chrysler so it was only $55 and it came loaded with new bolts and gasket. Here is a pic of the rockers. Almost 100k and looking clean.
