Hello from Tennessee!!! I'm starting to empty out my pockets so I'm either in a build OR I own a Jeep. Not sure if there is a difference. :iamhappy:

So here is a thread of the Orange Crush as it turns into the Tiger Scout.

So here is the Story of the Tiger Scout. First I bought the Jeep to bring back memories of my youth. My dad had a 73 Bronco we would take the top off and head into the mountains.

I have 3 sons and their growing up so FAST!!! So I started searching for the perfect jeep two years ago. I wanted a Jeep with a few mods but not modded out plus it had to be orange.

I wanted something that the boys and I could tinker with in the garage. However it had to be cool enough that they felt good about dad dropping them off at school.

So the first pic is of my middle son seeing the Jeep for the first time.

First Mod

The Tiger Scout got it's name from my two oldest boys. I asked them what animal it looked like and the both said a tiger. The connection between a Tiger and Tiger Scout comes their both part of the Cub Scouts. The first rank in Cub Scout is a Tiger Scout.

Being an Eagle Scout I loved the name so it stuck. The Fist mod was obviously a little Tiger Tribal Art.

What does Jeep stand for?

As I said I've been looking for a Jeep for a while. So I knew exactly what I wanted. I've been an inactive member of WF for over a year. I spent most of my time on the Build Forum. Mentally stealing ideas.

A tiger has to have attitude. So the stock bumper had to go.

I got the bumper form Ebay. It's a Maximum Jeep bumper with LED lights. here is a link to the store. http://stores.ebay.com/maximumjeep?_trksid=p2047675.l2563

I sent him a PM over what winch he used in his picture. Namely due to the bolt pattern. His reply was Smittybilt. I did a little research and couldn't find any bad reviews so Smittybilt it is.

I went with a steal cable because the Fairlead: 4-Way Roller reminded me of my dad's Bronco.

The Tigers Tail

The Tiger already had some very cool smittybilt SRC side armor/ Rocker Guards. By the way the part number for them is 76634

So I needed a bumper that match the sides and the front. Smittybilt had the answer.

Never grad a tiger by the tail!

NEVER GRAB A TIGER BY THE TAIL!!!!!!!!

This mod was a PAIN IN THE TAIL!!!! Nothing lined up. When I was finished and went to install the trailer hitch it also had alignment issues. I did a search to see if there was other individuals who had such problems. No such luck. After doing some fine tuning with a pneumatic grinder. I fit like a glove!

Kids

Some of the best memories I had as a kid was under a car turning a wrench with my dad. I hope my boys will say the same about their old man.

Lift, Wheels, and Tires

I've had several PM's about the lift, wheels, and tires. They came with the Jeep when I purchased it. The guy who owned it before me had way more money than do. He bought the Jeep from the same dealer. He traded it in on a 2013 or 14 Stingray Corvette.

The Dealer said that all the work was done by a local shop in Atlanta before it had 100 miles on it. I have no clue what kind of lift or shocks they used. However...I plan on replacing the shock with Fox Shocks before the year is over.

Wheels:
Motto Metal with matching Orange Crush Highlights

Tires:
35X12.5 R18 LT
Nitto Trail Grappler MT

I dont have a rig yet :whistling: Ive had two in the past (10 JK Rubi, 12 JKU Sport) but am planning another sometime this year. I am however piling up some parts already. Ive got the SRC rear bumper, went with the XRC front again, got some IPF lights for it, SRC tire carrier, and some Helo wheels all out in the garage. Am I nuts? There is a strong possibility but its not the first time Ive gotten mods for a vehicle I dont yet have.

Nuts...NO! You just have Jeep Fever. I spent an entire year policing this forum looking for ideas before I bought my rig. In my mind I had bought my mods way before I bought The Tiger.

So Nuts..NO! Jeep Fever....YES
