I recently posted of my experience with Caledon Chrysler on the main JK General Discussion page and felt it necessary to post of this experience to warn Canadians of the disgusting customer service from this dealer.

After signing for a brand new JK Sport just a couple of weeks ago with the promise of it taking anywhere from 3-6 weeks to arrive, I received a call this past Thursday that my truck had come early and that I should come up to take a look at it to make sure it's exactly what I wanted. Upon arriving and seeing the Jeep, I was then told the truck was in fact not mine and was supposed to be sent to another dealer. In essence, the vehicle was double tagged, and was the only one available to choose from in the colour and options I specified. So now that the Jeep was taken away from me, the Sales Manager couldn't inform me of when I would receive my vehicle and if I would even be able to get the one I wanted since it was apparently the only one available. So, after being tossed around with no answer as to what was happening from anyone including the General Manager, I decided to cancel my deal with the dealer in order to bring my business elsewhere. When asked to have our downpayment back as well as the cancellation of the contract, the Sales Manager, Sam, had told us that we could not cancel our deal, and that he had 90 days to produce a vehicle. Being promised 3-6 weeks, he is now telling me 90 days? Arguments arose as you could imagine, as now we are apparently stuck with dealing with this incompetent dealer because we have a "binding" contract. What ever happened to good customer service? Am I not entitled to such? I feel this dealer, and specifically the Sales Manager, is wasting my time and is going to make this process as gruelling as humanly possible. I am disgusted with the way I am being treated and I hope that no one ever has to go through this. The only person worth speaking to in that dealership is Shaun, genuinely nice guy. I wish I could say the same about everyone else. Buying a new vehicle should be an exciting moment, not a nightmare. I will NEVER, shop at Caledon Chrysler again and I hope many others think twice before going there.

Quick note, I had no VIN number issued to me so I have no way of knowing when a vehicle would arrive.

You didn't special order nor does the dealer have a JK they traded (w/another dealer) currently on the lot, but they won't give you your $ back? This sounds wrong to me. I would contact Chrysler, (not sure about Canada) BBB, and/or local attorney general. Good luck.

I completely agree...! I'm dealing with a dealership, Chapman Jeep, and they are not wanting to fix the issues with my Jeep correctly. I'm going back in Monday to give them 2 options, either fix it correctly or give me another vehicle. If they refuse I will take the issue to Chrysler and invoke the Lemon Law and be done with it. By the way, the issue is that they install these crap lift kits and throw on some bigger tires and wheels and call it good.... The problem is the lift kit does not include all the components necessary to correct for the axels being off center and the pinion angle geometry changes... Not a bad thing and it can be corrected but they push the jeeps like this that are lifted and neglect to tell you that they lack all the components so the result is when you get it on the highway it drives like crap... I think you should write Chrysler directly and bypass the aholes at the dealership... Good luck.

Thank you for the comments guys, it's unfortunate that some of you also had to deal with problems like this. The dealer is North West of Toronto. I called Chrysler Canada and they told me they cannot get involved in sales but they can help me by locating me a Jeep with the specifications I asked, and on Monday give me a VIN number to give to the dealer and hopefully get this jeep in ASAP. I will contact the owner of the dealer if things cannot be resolved soon

That's the other dealer that tagged the same truck and got it over me. They're the sister dealership to Caledon, so I'm assuming the owner is the same. I'm not giving up at all, maybe I'll be able to deal with them since it's practically the same dealer?
