What's up? I'm getting rid of my bmw 328i hard top convertible to get a hardtop convertible that can handle a few potholes (wrangler), as I work out in the middle of nowhere.

Did a bunch of research, and I'm driving 2 hours to get a polar edition with both tops, navigation, remote start, and the tow package. Is there an edition anyone recommends more than polar? It isn't too late.

Look forward to buying custom stuff for it, but have no idea where to start. I hope to get the 3.73 gear ratio for increased tow capacity and the option of bigger tires.

There is one 2 hours north with 3.73 ratio and both tops, and one 2 hours east with regular ratio and only hard top. Just have to confirm availability tomorrow and see what incentives they have at both places. If prices are comparable, heading north!

Whatever you do , you must get the 3.73 gears if you want to tow and add larger tires. You will have sleepless nights if you don't get the gears and internet cats will die :) LOL

Yeep, 3.73 or even 4.10s are worth driving a couple hundred miles or forcing your dealer to find one for you.

Well damn, now I want to consider a rubicon, but I would only offroad maybe 4 times a year. Seems wasted. But I would like to be able to tow a small boat.

Polar FTW. What color?

I got Polar because it was the only way at the time to get Hydro Blue but I like a loaded vehicle anyway and Polar has all the goodies. Leather, heated seats, hard top, were all options I wanted. I also took the side airbags and locker option. I've had the top off almost continuously since I got it in December and the doors off for a week which is ironic for the Polar namesake and badge proclaiming coordinates of the lowest temperature recorded at the Pole of cold, Vostok Station, but, hey, I got my blue. Post some pics, or PM me if you have any questions.

I special ordered mine and still negotiated 11% off MSRP despite the dealer telling me there would be a $4k markup over MSRP. Be willing to walk away if they don't give you a deal claiming the special edition to cost more because it is so special. They will cave and you won't go home empty handed after driving 2 hours each way. Dealer I got mine from has a bunch of Polars with added markup so don't fall for the BS if your dealer does the same.

Get the higher gears if you are going to tow or plan to swap gears later anyway. Your choice if you want 2 tops. I'm happy with the top off and a matching blue Spiderwebshade. Don't really want a soft top. Hard top in matching color looks sweet. No top looks even better.

Thanks guys. The one I wanted sold on Friday, so I'm at the local dealer and they are searching for me. I decided only body color hard top (no dual top). Definitely getting at least 3.73 ratio, max tow package, navigation, and heated seats. It was polar blue which I prefer, but we'll see what they can find with all my options!

I've heard the 430n nav is more user friendly but the 730 is superior once you know the interface. Is that accurate?

Found an altitude, black on black on black on black. Dual top (soft is meh), 430n, max tow, 3.73 ratio, remote start. Might be the one.

You'll be happy with the dual top come summer. See if it has the upgraded Premium soft top in the dual top group, I can never remember if it's automatically the Premium in the dual top group or not. There is a HUGE difference in the Premium and regular soft top.

Just make sure your price is AT LEAST 1% below invoice. Good luck!

Yes, dual top automatically gets the premium and deletes the base soft top.
I agree, go for the dual top, although I might be biased! :happyyes:

If they find a jeep WITHOUT max tow, but HAS 3.73, grab it! You can buy your own hitch and tighten four bolts for less than $75! :thumb:
