Have my new front TeraFlex Big Brake calipers spray painted with VHT. Did all the prep which wasn't much except cleaning them with brake cleaner then masking. Used VHT paint but was wondering if I should clear coat them? I have the clear coat material but didn't know if it was worth the trouble? Won't spray them until tomorrow if I do it all....

Couple of folks on here mentioned TeraFlex calipers rusted pretty fast and I also wanted them to have a little bling, hence 3 coats of VHT. Wonder if the clear coat would make them easier to clean brake dust off?

The prep work is the hardest.

I would definitely clear coat them. IT makes them look a lot better and not cheap looking. I can notice the difference of people that did not take their time and put the clear coat on it after the paint work.

Light coats, and I assume you already knew this. AND it sounds like you already have the clear coat. You will be much happier in the long run.

and buying the VHT or comparable clear coat is worth it. Rustoleum etc.
