Anybody else having issues with cam chains? I bought a 2012 with 50K miles on it about two years ago. It always rattled when started cold or after it sat for awhile but still warm. Would quit right down after a couple seconds. Anyway I had a computer problem and while trying to figure that out I found the rubbing block on the primary chain tensioner had been gone and was laying in the oil pan. the plunger was all the way out and the end almost worn off. Both cam chains were wore completely out. The tensioner plungers were out all the way and chains really loose. Anyway that was last January and maybe five thousand miles ago. A couple days ago I stop and get out and hear what sounds like the fan hitting something. I get home and start to investigate and turns out the wear guide on the passenger side cam chain lost the plastic wear strip. O'Reillys is warranting the timing chain kit but this is not a job I want to do every year. Its a real PITA.
