I am just finally finishing up installing my lift. Everything is completed except for mounting the rear shocks. I installed a metal cloak lift and they sent me shock relocation brackets for the rear which I installed. The bolt they sent is smooth along the top and accomodates the shock sandwiched between three washers on each side. The hardware fits the holes of the new mount, but is too large for the OME shock "eye". Can I drill that out a little, or should I use a smaller diameter bolt, which will fit the shock snug, but will be loose in the mounting holes?

If I need a new bolt, does anyone know the size of the shock eye?

You could try drilling out the sleeve in the bushing. Sometimes they are a hard steel and are difficult to drill.

BTW have you talked to the folks at Metal Cloak to see if this has been a problem?

Nah, not yet. They were closed by the time I got to this point and I want to finish it in the morning before they open.
