Changed my oil this weekend, who can guess what I broke?

I'll give you a hint: I broke it taking my oil filter off with a filter wrench.

The first person to guess gets a $50 gift certificate (minus a $50 processing fee), and bragging rights.

Your right knuckle...

Oh, and if you need a filter wrench to take off your filter, it was put on too tight. :D
Oil sending unit.

My 94 YJ oil gauge (not idiot light) started going crazy going thru the mountains the other day, fluxuating all over the scale.

Thing is, oil is ok (checking) it mutiple times.

What I am finding is the unit (itself) is only (hand) tight (my fault).

Can anyone tell me what (size) probably (opened end) wrench I need to snug that thing down? regretably:banghead: I don't have a cresent or channel locks at this time.

Thanks in advance,:thumb:

Hmm, did you break the wire bundle that connects to the starter's solenoid?

Bingo!

I will, minus the mentioned processing fees, so technically you owe me $50.

Oil sending unit.
Another right answer. Your gift of net $0 will be in the mail.

Don't I know it. My dad always taught me: Never tighten with a wrench, always only hand-tighten.

You don't have WHAT? that's the only thing I used to tighten it as I didn't have the right size wrench either. I think it's 1 1/8" or something. But don't quote me on that.

No, I'll have to look to find that thing... at least I hope I didn't... :nonono:

Your wrist or arm?
HAHA no, now THAT'd have been a frikin OVERTIGHTENED filter. wow.
