Numero uno Tom is reseat your gas cap.
Other than that you'll probably need to take it somewhere to see what code the computer's throwing. Could be anything. My wife's 06 commander check engine light came on a few months ago and wound up being the catalytic converter went bad. fortunatly that $900 bill was covered with extended warranty.
Hopefully just a poorly seated gas cap after your last fill up. Might take a day or two of start up before it turns the light off. Good luck.
cycle you key 3 times and tell us what the code is. as stated it could be a lose gas cap, could be the EGR valve. consider going to an auto parts store and see if they have a reader that will tell you the code
