need to do more research that setup will be too long and the front output on the transfer case will be on the wrong side motor and trans is a decent idea but you need to adapt to your jeep transfer case the novak conversion website will provide all the knowledge you could ever need for this project...good luck it will be awesome when its done

putting a carb'd 350 in your Jeep is a giant leap backwards.

I'd rather have a fuelie 2.5L 4-cyl over a carb 350...all day long and twice on sundays.

This is coming from somebody that has actually owned a Chevy truck with a carb'd 350 putting out around 350hp.


if you want help and guidance then here you go: rebuild the 2.5L and call it a day. put your money into the 2.5L, the axles and the gearing.

unlimited spends a good amount of time offroad, where i would never want to use a carb. if the op rarely sees climbs then a carb is fine. personally i'd go for an aluminum vortec engine, lots of power and rather lightweight. but we all have different needs and desires

How is the progress coming on the swap? I am also doing a 350 tbi swap w/700r4. Transfer case is 231 from and S10 and my jeep 231. Should be doing the mockup for motor mounts this week. I found a place that does wiring harnesses for half the price of Painless. Still looking at radiators too.
Wondering what if any problems you've run into.

thanks for all the different wiring websites. to just make things simple for me I decided to just go to a local junkyard and found a 1994 gmc Yukon with a 5.7L with the 4l60e trans. and the transfer case that comes with that as well. ill just rebuild the engine myself and have the trans and transfer cased look at while I rebuild the engine. I figured this way will be easier since everything came together so less adaptors needed. the wiring im probably just going to have sent out to one of these website. thanks for the help!

I also did a swap out a wrecked 94 with 350 and the 4L60E and transfer case. I got a wiring harness from howellefi.com . How is ur swap going?
