Why not do a trial fit and see if the gauges work? I think with any type of conversion or modification, it's wise to do a trial fit. There always seems to be something that you didn't think of as you do the assembly. A trial fit eliminates mid-assembly problems.

In your case, if the gauges don't work and you can't discover a way to test them, you can adapt the dash to accept aftermarket gauges. Or locate a speedo/gauge cluster that's known to work.

Are you doing the front end sheet metal too? Post some pics of the process.
