hey guys,

first post for my own problem....

bought a jeep back a few years ago, needed a new body, go figure right it was built in 42-45. get all the old body off, saved a few good pieces, Hood, windshield, dash, engine was running but smoked a little so that got pulled to to do a freshen up, new rings, etc. was needed.

well here i am 4 years later:doh: havent touched it. cant remember where all the pieces went and dont know how much a new body will cost to put everything back together. i mean just about everything.

how much do you think it'll cost? or should i try and sell it? working on my friends jeeps always gets me in the nack to want mine back together... going jeepmo bealing but i dont seem to have enough time, darn near no money at all to get to work on mine.

need some help guys! what would you do?

If it were me I would take all my spare time to dig and dig for everything I could find and put it in a pile. Then I would slowly with a buddy make a check list and start to rebuild that badboy up. If at anytime you dont have anymore cash or drive you can sell it. And its definatly worth more to someone atleast half way put together. But if it were mine I would get that thing completly trail/ road worthy cuz i love willys. Just my 2 cents.

Rob,

Your CJ3A isn't that much different than any WWII Ford or Willy's. Why not buy the manual to help you put it together? It is a simple jeep. It has simple parts and they work together pretty well.

Take care,

posted it on craigs list a little while back, have a guy interested in it. Willys Jeep Parts, Military and Civilian USED PARTS for Willys Jeeps - Home is his website. so hopefully be selling it to someone that has a interest in them.

still have no time to mess around with it, bought a cherokee and doing a engine overhaul and body overhaul.. rust prevention mainly. so that's been using my "spare time" ha ha

found everything but the darn name plate tag...:banghead:
