I need to replace the tailgate on my '95 YJ and was curious if the fold-down style off a CJ7 would fit?

It will fit

you just have to be creative when you bolt the hinges to the tub under the tailgate. I have a '91 tub on a '76 CJ-7 frame and used the original tailgate. You will have to weld up or plug the old hinge bolt holes in the tub.
