This was the first body work I have ever done. I ordered the matching Moss Green Pearl Coat spray paint for my 98 Sahara from Jeep. I primed the area and painted. Question is: do I need a clear coat? Should I buff? Wax it? What's my next step?

Most likely you purchased the base coat that will require a clear coat for a finish. A light wet sanding before the clear coat is generally all you need.

Awesome! Thanks. Can I get a spray clear coat anywhere? And what grit on the wet sand?

I'd get the clear of the same brand as your base coat. best results will be had if you follow above advice of wet sanding the base before clear.

once it's dried and cured for a bit, you can polish/wax it.

Will it hurt to drive in the rain a day after before the clear coat goes on? I don't really have a choice. It is dry.

Damn that looks really good, make sure to post some pics when you get it cleared and sanded.
