Hi everyone,

I have this annoying sound allmost every time when car is rolling , i press throttle pedal a bit , something clunks, when i release it, another clunk. Same thing happens when transmission shifts at lower rpm or when I shift it in D or R. I had this sound before, mostly after i drive some 5-6 miles, but now it's here every time. Transmission is automatic but i guess this is not transmission related, because trans shifts fine.. I haven't found any loose u joints.. I do have some slack in rear driveshaft, i could spin it some 5 degrees, but it doesn't sound the same as this clunk. Anything else to check?

I'm suspecting it's transmission mount, because car spent 5 hours in salt water 5 days ago. Is there any way to check transmission mount? I did get under car while someone changed gears and i could see that both transmission and transfer case are moving up and down, is this normal?

Trans mount! To verify use a prybar and try to raise the trans/tcase upwards towards the tub away from the belly pan and look at the mount. Not a difficult fix nor expensive. Hope this helps.
