Clutch went out, started stinking cruising on the highway of all places then the smell went away and it just acted normal. Dealership said they believe it to be a mechanical failure, call Jeep Cares. Called Jeep Cares and they said tough luck, 12 month clutch warranty went out last month. And this is why my next rig will not say Jeep on it. I even said I'll pay for parts just cover install. She said they can only help with something under warranty and it went out last month.

Anyway, looks like people are having some trouble with Centerforce. Who else makes a good kit that is as easy an install as a stock clutch? I'm having trouble finding anything else. I would prefer a heavier flywheel, I have always felt like the JL needed it. Help!
Cheers,
Jon

Damn, that totally sucks, Jon.
Particularly as I will be taking delivery of a new Jeep with manual transmission this year.

I'll look forward to what anyone else has to say here about aftermarket clutches as well (I also had read about the problems with the Centerforce clutches recently).
