I know this has been posted before but I was looking for some fresh ideas and advice. Cold air intakes... Does anyone swear by them? Does it increase the gas milelage, hp and low end torque by that much? Thanks for the help!
That's simply the placebo effect in action. Cooler air is denser air so more fuel is injected to bring the air-fuel mixture back to the ratio the PCM requires as monitored by the 02 sensor.with the gas prices being +3 a gallon.. it makes up for it eventually.. before i used to go 180 before the light turns on now i go 195ish-200 on a full tank.. thats 20ish miles better with the same amount of fuel and you get the hype of the sound it makes![]()
I'm with you on this one i wouldnt spend 300 on intake.. i wouldnt spend even 200 on it.. 50 seems like an ok bill to waste lolwith a $300 dollar aftermarket intake, it will take you 12,000 miles to BREAK EVEN
