There are alot of other things that go wrong on an 89 before it might be the computer. What are the symptoms? There is no diagnostics (computer scan tool check) on an 89. The yellow port(s) on the passenger side in the engine compartment does not provide codes.
Computer System Location/Failure
I was told it could be my computer system that is most likely fried and to have a diagnostics check on it....also where and how do i find another or how much would it cost...??? anyone??

ICM (ignition control module) is an easy cheap fix & most common if you have a lack of spark.
