Have a 79 CJ7 with a fan that seems loose and has some movement, is that an issue and what can be the problem.
I don't have a clutch with this fan.

Is the pulley moving too? If so it could be the water pump on its way out. I am picking up a new pump in the morning mine was wiggling a bit now its leaking. I am assuming you checked the obvious things like loose bolts.
