Wifes 2012 4 doors battry died charged it went next day to parts store put new one in from the time we turned the radio back on to reset the stations/clock crazyness.
We have power at all times while doing these things
volume will go up but no sound one minute next you hve sound
try to seek up or down it will go to the next station /then go back to the previos station over and over
try to set clock you can adjust thr hr /but not the minute
any ideas if the radio is dead cool
but if its dead did i kill by changing a battery

Hard to tell. 99% of the time, my radio works perfectly.

Every so often, though, it will either be completely dead, or it functions fine, but there's no display. Turning the Jeep off for a few minutes and restarting fixes the problem.

Modern radios are computer controlled. (Isn't everything nowadays :) ).

You did put in a new battery, but the radio computer might have gotten scrambled somehow and just needs a reboot. Try removing the power completely by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a few minutes.
