It really depends on how you are going to be wheelin it. With smaller tires a lot of people can make a D35 work for them. If you are going larger as in 33 or up then you will want to get rid of the 35 at some point in time. Rubicon axles are still pretty expensive when people find them. But you can supplant a Ford 8.8 or a Wrangler 44 in the rear and have plenty of strength. It's the rear that take the brunt of the beating.
