I have a 2000tj sport...is this a dana 35 or 44 on my rear?
Looks like i have a leak behind the front dana 30...is it ok or what should I do?

Dana 35. If your front pinion seal is leaking you should change it. Lots of info here on how to do it.

Yep Dana 35, and as far as the Dana 30 leaking, I would only worry about it if you are loosing a substantial amount of oil. Have you removed the fill bolt on the Dana 30 diff to check how much oil is left? It should be up to the bottom of the hole. If its lower, I would fill it up and look into replacing. If yours only drips a drop each day or so like mine, I would just live with it, checking the oil level every once and a while. Mine started leaking after the front driveshaft landed on a rock :banghead:

thanks...if i replace seal am I going to need any special tools?

is a gear puller needed, or just makes the job easier?
