Was experiencing a lot of hood shake at higher speeds and in wind.

Purchased Daystar Hood Wranglers which are just replacement rubbers for the latch about 1/4 inch shorter.

Install was about 5 minutes and totally eliminated the issue.

This might be common knowledge but a good cheap way to upgrade an obvious factory defect.

I read that some people had hell removing the old rubbers but I took ***** and squeezed down on the outside rivets and they just popped off.

First time that hood went to dancing on me I damn near ran off the road.

The Daystars are easy to install and seem very tight. No need to remove the lower attaching point, just clip them off like AnimalXXXMother stated.

Used pliers to break break off the plastic rivets. Went with red.

I didn't have any shake. Just did it for the color.

Just finished putting Daystars on my JK. Seem to be real tight, but suspect they will loosen a bit, over time. Not enough to have hood flutter like I did, but enough to make it easier to latch and unlatch.
