I sooooo want to get rid of my 2.5 and pop in something like a 2.8L turbo diesel so i can create all kinds of torque and get better mileage than the 18mpg that i currently get. unfortunately im too poor to do that.
18 you say? I would kill for 18mpg.. but all the hemi will give me is about 14 avg.$50 a fill up is getting old... so it goes.. and no its not in the Jeep... wish it was though!khenderson said:I sooooo want to get rid of my 2.5 and pop in something like a 2.8L turbo diesel so i can create all kinds of torque and get better mileage than the 18mpg that i currently get. unfortunately im too poor to do that.![]()
yeah the hemi is in the ram 1500 which is my daily driver and tow rig.. does a great job, but it has a hard time passing the gas station. The TJ at this point is for nice days and a trail rig.khenderson said:$50 fill up and only 14mpg!?!! holy crap. i think i might be looking into a hybrid something-or-other as a DD and save the jeep for trails or beautiful top down days
well my wife took it to work the other day and let me know that it has lots of power and she likes it... Thus, I don't think it will going any place at least for now.. lolkhenderson said:ahhh......then i guess it's time to get a hybrid to replace the hemi as your dd.
