ok I went to advanced and they told me to put limited slip fluid and the additive in my stock axles and I did but thinking back I don't think I have a limited slip differential and I was wondering what would happen if you have the fluid and additive in there or is it fine

Shouldn't be anything to get worked up about. The open differential won't even notice the additive is there. Something to do with friction modifiers if I recall correctly, the only thing that could be different is the life of the oil, but it certainly shouldn't hurt anything. My .02

Nothing will go wrong adding it. If you DO have the type poss-a-trac that requires the additive-you may have to do some figue "8"s in a parking lot to get the modifier between the plates. If you get a chatter in a hard turn-you will need to do this.
