If your key is black then no, if your key is grey then yes you do have the sentry system. Just the fact that your new spares won't keep it running is a pretty good sign that you have it.

The key does have to be programmed but it does not have to be the dealer. There are key place that will do it for a lot less. From another post I saw that some Walmarts can do it.

FYI, the SKIM option was available since at least 99.

I have heard of people getting the keys cut and programmed at locksmiths and even Wal-mart. I would check around everywhere else before I went to the dealership ($$$$$). If you have 2 original keys then you can program additional ones yourself.

I just had a new chipped key made and programmed at a locksmith for $65.......

When you turn your key to the "on" position, there is a orange key symbol in the upper left hand side of the gauge cluster if you have the sentry key.
