We have:

2007 Ford Focus 33 mpg avg.
2002 Supercharged Corvette 29 mpg avg.
2012 Ford F250 Diesel 26 mpg avg.
2014 JKUR 16.5 mpg avg.
1960 Ford Falcon drag car 1017 hp. 4 mpg.

Good thing we enjoy driving our Jeep.
Bad thing is where we live, it does not snow, and does not rain much.

'15 JKU gets about 15.5. Don't even gun it. Just drive on hills and on secondary roads. :(

Yes, I'm averaging about 17.5 in my 15 JKUR. Added quite a bit of weight with sliders and skids and soon a Gobi rack, which I'm sure will drive it down even further. Worth it though :)

My old JKUS with 3.73s and 33" duratracs was 16.5

My new JKUR HR with 4.10 is 15.5 so far.

My wife's 2015 explorer 2wd averages about 19.

Mine got better over the last couple months. Even after the added weight of my mods, I think I started off in the 15's also, but after 5 months and almost 5k miles, it's averaging about 2mpg better. I have 4.10's also.

Nopers, back in the day I had an 85 Ford Bronco with a 3" lift and 35" tires. 10mpg was a good day, but then again gas was less then $1.00 a gallon :rip:

I remember .99/gal gas. :rip: indeed.
I remember when gas pumps could not be set for any price over .99/gal. Back then, no one envisioned that gas could ever go higher than that.

Though, I just filled up my Wrangler for $1.49/gal. Adjusting for inflation, I wonder how that compares to gas prices back in 1972? :D

My Jeep gets better gas mileage around town (17-19 mpg) than my two turbo cars a 87 Dodge Daytona ShelbyZ and a SRT4. My Plymouth Roadrunner gets 8 to 10 miles per gallon on the highway, less around town and I can watch the gas gauge move when I put the pedal to the metal.

I just got back from a four day road trip, average was 17 and that included an hour or so at 85mph on the toll road. I was reading on the Chevy Colorado forum where they are seeing 25-26mpg on the highway. With a 3.6L and 3.42 gears. And I was thinking WTF?
