Hi All,
Just picked up a 2016 JKU Willys this week. Noticed the passenger side front door does not sit flush with the tub on the lower half of the door (upper half is fine). There is a gap of probably about 1/8" to almost 1/4" along the lower edge. No rain yet, so no leaks I am aware of, may just be cosmetic. Has anyone noticed similar issue? Is door adjustable? Dealer repair under warranty?
Thanks all in advance!

Why does everyone with a brand new vehicle ask if something is repairable under warranty? You have a week old JKU. Of course you're covered. If you think you have an issue, take the vehicle back to the dealer.

The primary cause of the issue you're describing is the seals on JK doors sometimes come out of the track. They're not glued in. My passenger door has done that once. When the seal comes out of the track it makes the door look like it doesn't sit flush. You can easily check that yourself. If it's out, just push the seal back in. If it's not, which I think it is, and the door still doesn't sit flush have the dealer take care of it under warranty. Good luck with your new JK. I spray some silicone on a rag and then wipe down the seals every year. It keeps them from sticking to the door jamb and coming out of the track. It seems like this problem happens more often on new JK's.

I checked the door seal and all looked good in fact even removed and reinstalled just to be sure. Did not resolve issue. Looks like lower hinge attached to body needs adjusted in toward the cab.

At least you know what to look for if you have a seal issue. :) Have the dealer adjust it.

How does it close compared to drivers side? Force-wise that is. They typically take a little more effort than most vehicles to adequately latch. Likely a simple striker plate adjustment.

My passenger side door is similar - a bit out at top and bottom, but nearly flush at the strike. It seals, doesn't leak, and I'm the only one who notices. Not going to mess with it.

Same issue here. Didn't bother me til I had some papers in my floorboard and noticed they were getting sucked out of the bottom of the door jamb where it's not flush! That's a big gap to cause that. I've noticed wind noise over there too.
