Had a similar problem in an old dodge and it was a sign that the clutch was going out. I would press the pedal, and the rpms would rise but the truck wouldnt move.
drive trane problems
I have a 97 jeep wrangler 5 speed. when i take off or while driving when you step on the throttle there is a lot of play before rear engages again. dont know if its the transfer case or the rear what would cause this
