Hey....does anyone have experience with the emergency top?

How easy is it to put on and how well does it hold?........advice?

I have a 2dr JK and hard top. If you don't put door surrounds on, you get a big gap behind each door. Toss up between returning it and buying some door surrounds. Kinda dumb that that gap exists. Who wants to take door surrounds on/off all the time (except maybe me now). If you have a soft top, you don't need an emergency top but it doesn't exactly work for a hard top owner, either.

It IS easy to put on though.
I believe that the emergency top is designed to be used while being topless. I too have wondered if they will hold up well the few times that they are needed. I was told you can even drive with then on. Hmm.
I was hoping to buy something quick for sudden rain, but I have only the hardtop, so no door surrounds. I think this might help, but so would a 12x17 tarp with bungies. If I can't drive with it on, and the gaps are big without surrounds, it is worth the $?

I think you can drive with them on if you have to. I would go the emergency top instead of a tarp. Sure, no surrounds would let more rain in but I think it would defiantly fit better than a tarp.
