Didn't used to approve of Chicom junk. Then I realized that one of the few options I had left was voting with my wallet and feet. Nankang? Cheng Shin? Well, they are in the TJ and the IH and have 35k between the sets and have impressed me.
It's all in the quality control. China is the new Japan. Japan makes some high quality stuff these days, but at one time "made in Japan" meant cheap junk. The Chinese are capable of it, it all depends on quality control. If someone orders something made and wants it as cheap as possible, with poor quality standards, they'll turn out crap. Chances are, most people reading this are doing so using Chinese made circuit boards. My motherboard is made by Foxconn, who also make boards for Apple. Both the company who make my board and Apple set certain standards for the products they buy. One day, China will be known for making quality stuff and someone else will become the new China. Maybe New Guinea or somewhereIve looked & havent seen anyone who has had a prob.Theres a few tires I was considering, good name brand but there also made in china or overseas so does a overseas tire automatically become no good because of that? Just wondering.
Example Kumho,China South Korea.
Nitto, well known off road tire, made in Japan.

Had the khumo mts on my tj.. they were absolutely horrible compared to my mickey Thompson mtzs and now atzs. They wore unevenly, were nearly impossible to balance, were pretty loud and were exactly what they are when you buy them.. cheap. I would buy a 28" highway tire before another 33" khumo tire. I cant say all of these tires are bad but they wore exrremely fast and they had flat flat spots in them after the 20k miles I put on them. Sold the jeep they were on and upgraded to an lj rubicon with mickey thompsons and I havent looked at another set of khumos since. My other choice is Kumho road venture MT tires, both china or japanese stuff
I had em 33x12.5x15...
They were cheep,,
Also loud as hell, rode like shit and were awful in rain.
But boy did they kick ass in mud.
I had a set of Hercules a/t tire on my XJ & hated them.Maybe they are better these days but Im hesitant to get another set.The site you posted is pretty good though
