I started hearing. Rattle under Jeep when I turned right, looked underneath, tightened bolts at manifold fixed it for awhile, now it's back. Changed motor mounts thinking it was flexing, no help. Any ideas I can't believe the exhaust is somehow hitting fo no reason now.

It was along time ago, but from what I remember the pipe was separating so the guy told her he could weld it solid. If yo look from the front of Jeep the pipe hangs about 3 or 4 inches. If I add a hanger bracket on passenger side where do I mount it?

On the 2.5 the mount is right at the rear motor mount. On the 4.0 it's on the right side of the skid plate. Look right behind the cat convertor, that's where the mount goes on both engines.

Also something else to check. The flange on header/exhaust manifold. It's welded to the header/manifold. If the weld breaks, it allows the whole exhaust system to twist.

Ours was the tail pipe hitting the rear hitch, just barely cleared the front drive shaft.
Probably would have hit the drive shaft if the tail pipe hadn't stopped it.

Pulled the header/manifold, repositioned the flange in the correct spot, and welded it good and solid. Problem cured. If this is your problem, make 100% sure you have the flange in the right spot before you weld it, other wise the exhaust system will not align properly, and you'll end up with more problems.
