I guess it depends on how you look at it really. If you are handy and have a garage you can work in, I'm sure you can get all your parts and do the labor yourself and save the money. BUT if you are like me and just learning how to work on cars/trucks and dont have the greatest work space, the warranty may be worth it. In my old patriot I got stuck with over 2 grand in bills on blown parts, ball joints, etc that weren't covered, totalling over 2 grand. That being said, if I had extended warranty it would have been covered...just something to think about.
